The Center for Entrepreneurial Development (CED) at the Institute of Business Administration in Karachi, Pakistan was established with support from Babson College to promote entrepreneurship education at the university level in Pakistan. The CED involves a consortium of eight universities across the country, including IBA-Karachi, IBA-Sukkur, NED University, Balochistan University of Information Technology Engineering and Management Sciences, Quetta, GIFT Gujranwala, Nust Business School Islamabad, Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture and the Institute of Management Sciences, Peshawar. The most promising concepts from CED will be fast-tracked in i2i’s application process for the i2i Accelerator.
The P@SHA Fund for Social Innovation was established by the Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) to drive social innovation in the country. P@SHA awards seed-stage grants to ideas that use Information & Communication Technologies (ICTs) as a platform for delivery and as a means for empowerment. Given that P@SHA funds ideas before they are i2i-ready, successful and promising awardees are fast-tracked in i2i’s application process for the i2i Accelerator, thereby strengthening the pipeline for entrepreneurship in Pakistan.
